our proposed design is based on two phases (client's budget). the first phase will implement our suggested new room arrangements according to the client's requirements. we centralized the rear entrance and attached the cloakroom there. from the proposed kitchen you can observe who is coming and going any time. the kitchen is arranged in the north-west corner to be able to "activate" the north-east extension for phase 2. we think it is important to maximize the existing plot of land (BBQ, guests, relaxation, ...); this is always kitchen related. the north façade will be able to re-use windows and doors from the existing building. we "opened" the west façade in the first and second floor to maximize the positive energy flow deep into the building. the powder room in the first floor is not visible from the dining/breakfast area and anyone
can easily access it; ventilation won't be a problem due to its location on the east side. we maximized and optimized the kitchen and its storage; same we did with the huge storage area in the former kitchen zone. in the second floor we suggest to adjust the entrance to the master bedroom according to our suggestion to make the master bedroom more "grand". we designed an additional separation wall (timber and gypsum cardboard) to minimize the visibility to the neighbors in the north; due to our designed openings (study and walk-in-closet) the master bedroom will be even brighter than it was before. we gave the study a special purpose due to its location (north-west) lots of timber will make it open for flexible uses. the washing and drying area contains a huge cabinet; we activated the cabinet as "entrance" to the master bathroom. the suggested balcony would be perfect for drying cloth outdoor. the balcony door in the study would extend the study significantly and would maximize the positive energy flow; could be done during a possible second construction phase. we suggest to have veranda extension in the first floor for BBQ, meeting friends and chilling out; basically located on the west side. it is easy to "pass-by" the veranda on the west on the existing plot levels. to create a more energetic landscape a water pond or a fountain close the veranda would be perfect. while designing your new layout we tried to minimize all construction work to the necessary must. we suggest to use yellowish wall colors to make the indoor areas more warm and cosi. family life and after work relaxation will be almost perfect with our suggested design. the first floor façade in the north will follow the existing building design; west façade and second floor façade will make your building being attractive and modern from far away.
