My outdated master bathroom needs complete overhaul. I want to create a sophisticated tranquil bath. Fixtures modern, but more of a transition design theme. My husband wants Ritz carlton like feel. I like that but also maybe Aisan twist.
New shower, new tub, sinks, vanity, lights etc. I'd like to elevate ceiling to roof line and add a skylight. Need vanity with drawers to store makeup. full length dressing mirror would be nice. Floor is currently stained concrete which is okay but need new color or replace with tile. Preferably heated. Want to brighten room. One set of windows currently have shutters. No view, just neighbors fence 3 ft away.. I like white tub, commode. Chrome bronze or nickel finishes. no brass. sinks undermounted. Quartz, Marble or granite countertops. Colors : cool palate with some earth tones; for instance river stones on a wall of the shower or some other focal point of glass shower vs small glass tile mosaic tiles . few darker brown or black unexpected accents. Maybe a little bench near tub? Need drawers or cabinet space under his and her vanity (or vanities). My kids still prefer baths in here.
The shower is very important; want multiple heads for shower.Open shower with built in shelving. bench in corner. freestanding tub. no jacuzzi needed. Towel warmer by shower.
Also, need to expand my laundry room, which is opposite shower and has a handy cabinet that opens into bathroom across from tub. There is space in there currently occupied by a standing deep freezer. Probably going to build garage, then put freezer in garage. Trying to figure out if feasible to knock down wall and encroach into master bath couple feet to add folding countertop and stainless soaking sink.
My husband likes idea of those TV's in the mirror. I've never priced one though.
I'm willing to spend $40K, but hoping more like $25K. I'd like to see variety of designs because this project could go in so many directions, and I have hard time seeing fixtures anywhere but where they are now
